What an embarrassing comment.

id also need to watch the film to see what his pressure was like. I agree he wasn't sharp at times but I don't think it's a cause for concern unless every week is like this.

I thought he played mostly well. Made many more good plays than bad. Also tried to do too much a couple of times and it resulted in some ugly mistakes. He looked like Brock.

It's like poker. You can make good decision after good decision… slowly building a stack… and a couple bad decisions can bust you out of the game. I thought Purdy flirted with that today. Obviously didn't help that we bricked two other possessions with our abysmal kicking game, and our redzone offense seems like it needs some work.

One of my favorite plays was that 4th down conversion on the out to CMC where he used the crossing receiver as a pick. Super simple. Brock executed perfectly. Can we get some more of that please, lol?
I don't see how anyone can watch some of the throws Purdy made to Pearsall and say this was anywhere close to one of Purdy's worst games.

Sure the INT's were bad and the game-winning TD was a questionable decision, but this was absolutely not even close to one of Purdy's worst games. And that's before considering the fact that we won, on the road in a rowdy environment, and without Kittle (for most of the game), Jennings (for most of the game) and Aiyuk (and Deebo).

The majority of it he looked fantastic but it's the interception into triple coverage on 2nd down and the game winning throw that I have a problem with, he just needs to throw those away. If the DB intercepted that last pass which it was close, this thread would be in meltdown.
I would rather Purdy play bold and take some chances, trusting his guys, than to play placcidly conservative, a la Jimmy G. You can't steal second if you are fearfully planted on first. A divisional road win!

If we had a kicker Purdy wouldn't have needed to be that aggressive. He needs to learn from it and move on.

Truly.
Thought he played up & down with playmakers missing all over the field all game. Thought he was late on throw to Pearsall that Woolen knocked down or he would have had a TD today. Hope next week is better for him & the offense

Absolutely infuriating to watch. But he is no better than Jimmy in my opinion, with the caveat that he has mobility.
There's no comparison. Purdy plays with his eyes down field. Jimmy couldn't handle that game. Purdy has much better accuracy throughout his field of play, and better chemistry with his receivers than Jimmy ever had. Jimmy disappeared all off-season, but Brock works to improve his game. Not at all comparable, in my opinion.

Agree, it isn't even close.

I understand what you're saying, for sure. He seems to really play hero ball when key players go down, like it's his natural instinct or something.

You need time to build that unspoken chemistry on the field to do "hero ball", IMO.

high pressure situation Brock has mainly been great. He's almost always put us in position to win the game, including the Super Bowl.

If I'm being candid, I lost hope that we would pull this game off. If it wasn't for the way we played in the last 8 minutes or so, I'd be less optimistic. I'm hoping that the positives we saw on both sides of the field will become the norm as the young guys get more reps and settle down. I was really impressed with what Saleh did with 6 or so rookies out there. That's not an easy task.

Let's hope he builds on this and this game is an outlier.

Gotta hit Pearsall for that TD going forward. When the tds are there gotta capitalize.
Roller coaster game for him. Got the W with a clutch drive.
